In the steady-state learning of induction motors, we know that there are many methods for regulating the speed of induction motors. Variable voltage, variable frequency, variable pole, and wound rotor induction motors can adjust the speed of the motor by serializing resistance or adding additional electromotive force (cascade speed regulation or doubly fed speed regulation) in the rotor circuit. However, years of research and practice have shown that variable frequency speed regulation is the most ideal speed regulation method for induction motors. The constant voltage frequency ratio control or voltage frequency coordinated control based on the steady-state model of an induction motor can achieve efficient and smooth speed regulation within a certain speed range, thus meeting the requirements of general production machinery for speed regulation systems.

However, due to the coupling effect inside the motor, the system's dynamic response is slow, which cannot meet the requirements for applications that require high dynamic performance. To achieve a high dynamic performance speed control system or servo system, the control system must be designed based on the dynamic mathematical model of the induction motor. Among various AC speed control methods based on dynamic mathematical models, vector control is currently the most widely used one.
