Shaded Pole Fan Motor Principle

The set-pole fan motor is a common motor, and its structure has one more set-pole winding than an ordinary motor. The pole winding is located in the pole housing of the motor and maintains a certain gap with the stator core of the motor.

• Working Principle

The working principle of the set-pole fan motor is based on the principle of electromagnetic induction. When alternating current is supplied to the stator winding, a rotating magnetic field will be generated. This rotating magnetic field produces an induced current in the pole winding. This induced current generates a magnetic field, which interacts with the stator magnetic field to produce a rotational torque.
